Bookabed and Universal Orlando, Host a Festive Trade Appreciation Lunch in Barza

Bookabed and Universal Orlando hosted a festive lunch upstairs in the airy and stylish Barza on Ormond Quay. The winter sun was streaming in the windows of the gorgeous room, featuring Californian-style decor, and bubbles were flowing as members of the travel trade came together to celebrate a bumper year for Bookabed on the back of its acquisition by TBO in 2022.

Ita Hendrick and Emer Roche were delighted to join on behalf of ITTN and Travel Times. Lee Osborne (Head of Sales, Bookabed) and Colleen Butler (Head of Product and Connectivity, Bookabed) welcomed everyone and encouraged the crowd to relax and enjoy the afternoon while raising a glass to the success and growth of 2023. Grant Daley (Senior Business Development Manager) from Universal Hotels & Resorts said a few words, highlighting the exciting news that two new hotels, the Universal Stella Nova Resort and Universal Terra Luna Resort, are due to open in 2025. Both will be located adjacent to its forthcoming Florida theme park, Epic Universe.

Guests were served a delicious selection of tapas to start, followed by several main course options, including a Christmassy ubiquitous turkey and ham! Santa hats and party hats were worn by everyone as the merriment continued for after-party drinks in the Morrison.
