Blue Insurances has announced a new Professional Indemnity and Office insurance scheme, exclusive to the Irish travel trade. The scheme has been designed specifically for travel agents and has different options to suit business needs, including stand-alone Professional Indemnity insurance or combined with Office insurance if required. A scheme for Irish tour operators is also available.
Professional Indemnity premiums start at €420 for a limit of indemnity of €325,000, with four levels of cover available, and there are six levels of cover for the Office insurance, with premiums starting at €350.
Recent communications from the ITAA have highlighted the importance of holding adequate Professional Indemnity insurance with extended liability cover and the real need for travel agents to protect themselves against potential high cost claims.
