Caribbean holiday-focused Blue Diamond Resorts has appointed Paulina Grzelka Trade Manager for the UK, Ireland and Germany.
With a remit to support the travel trade, Ms Grzelka will be the first port of call for all travel agent enquiries with the aim of maintaining awareness of Blue Diamond’s property portfolio, which covers 80 properties and more than 20,000 rooms across 8 countries in the Caribbean.
Commencing her role this week, Ms Grzelka will also be responsible for growing agent engagement with Blue Diamond Rewards and increasing face to face agent contact via events and webinar meetings that educate agents on each individual brand’s product. Her remit will also cover the organisation of agent FAM visits, research groups, workshops and sales missions.
Ms Grzelka brings more than 10 years of industry experience to this role having previously held the position of Business Development Manager for the GASP region for Playa Hotels & Resorts.
Having graduated in law at Free University in Berlin, Ms Grzelka started her career at TUI, gaining proven expertise in all aspects of tourism management from handling reservations to tours, events, recruitment, staff training and business development. Her time with Playa Hotels & Resorts served as an introduction to the trade and the management of multiple properties across the Caribbean region. As a multi-linguist, Ms Grzelka is fluent in German, Polish, English and Turkish.
