Belgian Company ‘Slow Cabins’ Launches at Secret Locations in Ireland

A short break concept company named, Slow Cabins is arriving in Ireland this August, creating a unique ‘off the grid’ holiday experience.

The Belgian company builds and places these cabins, designed for two people, in locations around Europe, always within 2.5 hours of a city.

The experience encourages ‘the slow life’ and takes the planning or even choosing out of the equation. The process goes as follows: you book without knowing the exact location of your cabin, allowing the company to make all the arrangements for you.

Two weeks ahead of the trip, you’re provided with coordinates of the exact cabin location. Slow Cabins also advise that when you arrive, you’ll park a short distance away and hike to discover your cabin.

Slow Cabins describes itself as an ‘eco-hospitality’ brand that encourages guests to slow down, take a digital detox, and escape the grind for a few days.

The cabins are sustainable and powered by sunlight. On arrival, you are given a fully charged battery and a tank of filtered rainwater.

The off-grid cabin experiences are available from 01 August at a ‘secret’ Irish location. They can be booked on slowcabins.ie, with rates from €250 per night and a two-night minimum stay.
