Belfast City to Gloucester with Manx2.com

Manx2.com has introduced a five times weekly flight from George Best Belfast City Airport via the Isle of Man to Gloucestershire Airport. Seats are priced from £69.95 single including all taxes and charges. Travellers booking via the website during September 2011 will get a free ‘Manx Gold’ upgrade. Gold Service includes complimentary use of the business lounge with refreshments and snacks, priority boarding and free wi-fi Internet access.

Gloucestershire Airport is located close to the M5 motorway providing great access to Gloucester and the West Country, as well as the Midlands and Bristol to the south. Gloucester is renowned for its Cathedral and Victorian Docks, as well as a great range of shopping for all budgets. Close by is the famous spa town of Cheltenham, considered the centre of the Cotswolds and home of National Hunt horseracing. Further afield, the Royal Forest of Dean is one of England’s few remaining ancient forests, covering 27,000 acres of woodland.

Chairman of Manx2.com Noel Hayes said: “Gloucestershire and the surrounding counties have so much to offer, including stunning scenery, outdoor activities, rich history and great shopping.  Gloucestershire Airport is conveniently located and the team there is renowned for transporting luggage from the aircraft to the reclaim area in a matter of minutes – so Northern Ireland visitors can experience old fashioned personal service and avoid the long queues seen at most larger airports.”

Katy Best, Business Development Director at George Best Belfast City Airport, added: “We are delighted with Manx2.com’s new connection service from Belfast City Airport to Gloucestershire. We are confident that this will be a very popular route among our growing leisure passengers, with its close proximity to Cheltenham and very convenient scheduling times making a perfect long weekend!”
