Bahrain Air is to introduce a new Business Class seat configuration and a new onboard entertainment system for premium passengers. The airline plans to serve six more destinations in 2012.
Richard Nuttall, who was appointed Chief executive from 1st December 2011, is optimistic about growth: “While 2011 was a difficult year for all in the industry, we are expecting traffic to improve in 2012. At Bahrain Air, we are continuously looking at ways to extend and improve our current offerings. We have successfully migrated to a new flight booking reservations system. A passenger can chose from different fares depending on whether price, flexible travel dates or class of service is most important. We are also gradually introducing services such as the ability to select seats, blankets, insurance or even a celebratory cake.
“We encourage our customers to book early to avail the early bird incentive, where a portion of our tickets are sold at up to 35% less than usual market rates. Bahrain Air’s advanced pricing mechanism promotes lower pricing for customers who book their seats early.”
