Following its refit earlier this year, Azamara Club Cruises’ luxury cruise ship Azamara Quest made its first ever call into Dublin Port yesterday. Travel agents and media were invited on board for a tour and lunch, while ITTN’s Neil Steedman was invited to sail to Belfast for an AzAmazing Evening at the Titanic Belfast Musuem and on to Glasgow, Invergordon and Edinburgh – follow Irish Travel Trade News’ Facebook page for his reports.
The Azamara Quest has staterooms for 694 guests (double occupancy) and 408 officers, crew and staff. The relatively small size of the ship makes for an intimate environment, which is enhanced by the classically elegant interior décor, and the quality of cuisine and service is top-class.
The cruise line’s two ships, Azamara Quest and Azamara Journey, offer itineraries worldwide that include late night or overnight stays on more than half of all port visits, each itinerary includes an ‘AzAmazing Evening’, all of which are exclusive, bespoke events, and the package is all-inclusive (apart from spa and acupuncture treatments). A wide range of drinks is included in this, but four additional packages are available ranging from the ‘premium beer package’ (which includes Guinness) for $11.95 per person per day up to the ‘ultimate liquor package’ for $18.95.
The Azamara Journey will call into Dublin on 16th August 2014 during her 12-night Best of UK & Ireland sailing from Copenhagen to Southampton.
