AWTE (the Association of Women Travel Executives) met for its End of Summer get-together in Dakota Bar on South William Street, Dublin, last night for a wonderful evening of connection, community and support.
In attendance were some key partners and representatives from travel agencies, suppliers and tour operators across Ireland. The AWTE is dedicated to bringing women in travel together in a welcoming, supportive community where women are empowered to share ideas, network and meet new women entering the trade and consider ideas for collaboration and connection in the future.

With the excitement of September and the run up to Christmas, as things begin to get busier with trade events, trips and roadshows, alongside customers seeking old and new ways of spending their holiday money- there was a lot to look forward to it in the coming months.
Reflecting on the summer, travel agents reported a good booking behaviour, with the subsiding of hesitancy from clients about world events impacting long haul. There are new businesses being launched, new suppliers coming into the market and lots to look forward to between now and the ITAA conference in Portugal!
Chairperson Ciara Foley thanked all for attending, while Carlos Riviera (Visit Portugal) and Susan Maxwell gave out prizes from a raffle, including some lovely gifts donated by the likes of Allie Sheehan’s new venture Fierce Wellness!
