Atlas Travel Highest User in Europe of Amadeus m-Power

Dublin-based Atlas Travel is now the highest user in Europe of Amadeus m-Power, the end-to-end mobile travel app completely tailor-made for the travel agency and for their travellers. Other corporate travel users are WTC / Selective Travel and (soon) Club Travel, while Volker Lorenz, General Manager Ireland, Amadeus, told Irish Travel Trade News: “Leisure agents should also be looking at using m-Power, and there is a ‘lighter’ entry-level version, Amadeus Mobile Traveller, which is also a fully integrated and complete mobile application supporting pre-trip, in-trip and post-trip travel needs.”

Presenting the latest Amadeus products at the Residence in Dublin were (above) Rob Golledge, Head of Marketing Communications; Stephen Brennan, Product Manager; Trish O’Leary, Sales & Marketing Manager; and Volker Lorenz, who also revealed that Amadeus is now used by 200 branch offices of 90 agencies in Ireland.

Another mobile solution that should be of particular interest to corporate agents and their clients, including NGOs, is Amadeus Mobile Messenger, which provides professional assistance for handling disruptive events such as weather events, political unrest or natural disasters, and allows two-way communication with travellers at any time. This ensures that the agent/travel manager is always in complete control of the situation and provides peace of mind to travellers, as well as helping to meet the agent’s and corporation’s duty of care to travellers.

Stephen Brennan outlined the benefits of the Amadeus Sellling Platform Connect, a next-generation booking and fulfillment platform that is URL-based and enables travel agents to work anywhere, anytime, anyhow, on any device, and remain connected to clients 24/7. Launched in February at the Business Travel Show, this new front end is now available in Ireland with one agency currently undergoing training and with roll-out to follow soon.

Trish O’Leary highlighted the benefits of another Business Travel Show launch product, the new Amadeus B2B Wallet, which offers two types of prepaid virtual payment cards: a Visa Debit card, which avoids airline service charges on credit cards, and a MasterCard Commercial card, which enables the agent to make money on bookings through volume rebates.
