In a bid to raise urgently needed funds for Outreach Moldova (ORM), the third annual fundraising lunch will take place on Friday 18th September 2015 in the Shelbourne Hotel, St Stephen’s Green, Dublin.
Over 250 guests are expected, including many from the travel trade. The event is being run by John Mc Kibbin and Jonothan Sultan, Directors of ORM.
Promising an afternoon of fine dining, high fashion and entertainment, the event will be MC’d by Luisa Zissman (entrepreneur, runner-up to the UK Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother). Guests who will be attending include Ireland’s top business entrepreneurs and corporations, social and media personalities and, of course, many from the Irish travel trade.
Outreach Moldova (ORM) is an Irish charity with Irish volunteers that protects orphaned, abandoned and abused children with special needs, as well as children with terminal illnesses in the Republic of Moldova. The charity was founded by Dr Suzanne O’Connell 15 years ago after seeing first-hand the horrendous conditions that children in State orphanages lived in and undoubtedly has saved the lives of many children since then. ORM now runs two orphanages, which are classed as ‘best in class’ in Moldova.
John McKibbin, Director of ORM, said: “The aim of the lunch this year is to raise funds for the Respite centre. We need to facilitate palliative care for over 500 children per annum to ensure the appropriate medical care and support is available. Monies will also go to fund the independent living programme. This is a first for any state orphanage in the whole of Eastern Europe and Russia to place disabled orphans back into society as independent citizens. Part of the programme will be how to master all the challenges that society has thrown at them and how to secure employment.”
Tickets and tables are priced at €120 per seat or €1,440 per table of 12. Various sponsorship packages are also available. To purchase tickets, call John McKibbin on 086 989 5394 or by email: [email protected]. For more information on Outreach Moldova, visit www.outreachmoldova.org
