Andalucia, where the sun shines 2,800 hours per annum, once again choose the très élégant ambiance of the great Dining Room in Dublin’s Trinity College to entertain, wine and dine top travel agents and tour operators for a workshop and dinner.
Gonzalo Ceballos, head of the Spanish Tourism Office in Dublin, ably assisted by Kathryn MacDonnell, organised an informative trade workshop in association with Antonio Martin-Machuca Ales from Turismo del Andalucia with the theme ‘Let’s talk about Andalucia’.
The visiting trade delegation led by Turismo de Andalucia comprised Almeria Tourist Service, Malaga-Costa del Sol Tourist Board, Sierra Nevada Ski & Mountain Resort, Mojacar Tourist Office, Macia Hotels, Hoteles Elba, Baviera Golf, Rio Real Golf, and the Hotel THGB Torrequebrada & Hotel.
It was the first travel trade event for the new Spanish Ambassador to Ireland, H.E. Jose Maria Rodriquez Coso, who welcomed the guests and spoke in Irish initially. He said that everybody in Ireland is acquainted with the Costa del Sol as the place to relax and enjoy. He also quoted Oscar Wilde, so he is really into his new posting.
However, you could have heard a pin drop during the magnificent Flamenco show, that had the audience showing their appreciation with prolonged applause.
