
AmaWaterways has launched a Stateroom Upgrade Programme for the UK & Ireland and mainland European markets, offering travellers the opportunity to elevate their river cruise experience by upgrading to a higher category stateroom.
This innovative programme allows guests to enjoy enhanced space and breathtaking views, all through a simple and seamless process.
Your clients who have already reserved an AmaWaterways river cruise can now participate in an online auction system to request and bid for stateroom upgrades. Whether the desire is to relax on a private balcony or indulge in the luxury of a suite, this programme provides the chance to name an ideal price for an upgrade on select sailings.

This programme not only enhances the guest experience but also provides you, our travel agent partner, a unique opportunity to earn additional commission, as you receive 10% on accepted upgrades, before the guest departs, benefiting both your clients and you.
Eligible guests will receive an email approximately 85 days prior to sailing detailing the available upgrade options. They can then browse these options and place bids for the amount they are willing to offer, up until 7 days prior to departure. Placing multiple bids for different categories increases the chances of an upgrade, though only one accepted bid will be charged. A key feature of the Stateroom Upgrade Programme is its no-risk bidding process. If a bid is accepted, both guests and you, their travel agent, are notified via email and guests are charged for the upgrade. If the bid is not accepted, guests retain their original stateroom without any additional costs. The programme is available to guests in the UK, Ireland, and Europe on all AmaWaterways ships in Europe, Egypt, and the Mekong, following a very successful launch in the US market.
