More than ever, the challenge facing today’s travel professionals is the need to add value to each customer interaction. As a business to business company, Amadeus understands the drive to improve efficiency and develop the kind of smarter technology that can be used to deliver award-winning customer service. That is the common denominator in all of these success stories.

Maura Fahy, Managing Director of Fahy Travel, said: “Being one of the longest established travel businesses in Ireland, we have built a solid reputation on understanding what travellers need. Key to our success is the ability to change with the times and embrace the best technology has to offer. Although a lot of travel research is conducted online, there is always the danger of information overload and it is easy for consumers to waste time getting nowhere fast. Our consultants have a broad range of first-hand travel experience, and when combined with the huge range of travel content available through Amadeus, we are confident that we have got all the bases covered.”

Ger Dinan, owner of Douglas Travel, added: “Flexibility is key to running a successful travel business these days. Key to our success over the past 15 years is our ability to keep customers satisfied and coming back for more. For that to happen we need travel technology that we can depend on. In order for us to deliver the kind of quality that our customers demand, we need business partners like Amadeus that truly understand what it means to settle for nothing less than excellence. Additionally, because Amadeus is better connected to all the key travel players, they are a name our staff – and our customers – can count on.”

Volker Lorenz, General Manager, Amadeus Ireland, said: “2013 has been another year of rapid growth as we have successfully retained and added new business throughout the period. We are delighted with how Irish travel agencies have responded to our sustained efforts to deliver innovative travel technology. For example, Amadeus Cruise Shop, as well as new, easier ways to book Hotel bedbank accommodation, enables travel consultants to work in a genuinely streamlined manner, saving time and money. Because Amadeus is committed to delivering user-friendly travel technology with a growing range of content and unrivalled reliability, travel agents can do more than simply meet customer needs, they can exceed them.”
