All-Year-Round Golf in Costa Daurada

The Costa Daurada has seven golf courses and three pitch & putts with very diverse features, depending on the natural relief of their location, and which are ideal for golfers to enjoy their sport all year round.

Costa Daurada Golf

Golf La Graiera in Calafell has a practice green and 9-hole course surrounded by thick woodland and with three large lakes, and will eventually have an 18-hole course and a 9-hole course. Bonmont Terres Noves at Mont-roig del Camp was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and is one of the best courses in Spain.

Golf Aigüesverds near Reus is five minutes from Salou and Cambrils. This countryside, relatively flat course offers fairways flanked by olive and almond trees and there is a lighted practice green to train at night. From the white flags, it is one of the longest courses in Spain. Club de Golf Costa Dorada in Tarragona spans 55 hectares and offers numerous doglegs and hilltop tee shots. Hole 13, which has a spectacular – and tricky – two-tier green, is one of the longest in Spain, spanning 582 metres from the white tees.

PortAventura Greg Norman’s Golf is a new 200-hectare luxury complex with three golf courses – two designed by Greg Norman and one by Green Project, three hotels, two theme parks, and an exclusive beach club. The 9-hole, par 35 Central course is comfortable for players of all levels without an excessive requirement for distance. The 18-hole, par-70 North course alternates water obstacles with bunkers and natural wetlands. The 18-hole, par-72 South course offers sufficient distances for high-level competition and guaranteed fun for players of any level.

New Shambhala Ride

In 2011 the theme park PortAventura opened its new themed area, SésamoAventura (Sesame Adventure), an area with rides and shows for the very youngest of the family.

New for 2012 will be the Shambhala Ride, on which visitors can live some of the greatest experiences of the great adventurers. It will be the tallest roller coaster, standing at 76 metres high, and will be the Shambhala Ride with the longest fall in Europe at 78 metres and will reach a speed of 134 km/h.
