This summer, Shannon Airport will commemorate the 70th anniversary of the first transatlantic commercial service and the start of Shannon’s unique place in aviation.
Shannon is celebrating in style with a large scale Air Show on Saturday 18th July 2015, which will showcase some spectacular aircraft, historic and modern, including Strike Master Jets, Hunters, Vampires and fixed wing display teams. In addition to the main air display guests will enjoy a static air display, an entertainment zone and a host of musical talent on the big stage.
The day-long event will be an ideal day out for all the family. Tickets for the event cost €5 and are available on www.shannonairport.ie – children under six years are free. All activities on the airfield are free and ticket-holders will also be entitled to free entry that weekend to a choice of either Bunratty Castle, King John’s Castle or Craggaunowen visitor attractions.
A VIP package allows guests to make the day that extra bit special. VIPs will have access to a dedicated Viewing Stand, in a prime location on the airfield, lunch, afternoon tea and refreshments, and dedicated car parking, as well as a unique opportunity to shop in the new Shannon Duty Free with an additional 20% discount. Corporate bookings for groups of up to 10 people can be catered for, allowing for a unique networking opportunity.
Tickets cost €95 per person or €900 for a table of 10 and can be reserved by emailing [email protected]
Shannon has been independent – and thriving again – since 2013. The anniversary air show is its way of giving something back to the region, the communities, and the airport’s business partners. They look forward to welcoming you to what promises to be a memorable day out!
