Hourcade, speaking at the event, said that he wanted to thank the key travel partners for their business and to update them on the latest developments at AF/KLM. They are focusing on the emerging markets such as China, where they now fly to nine destinations.

He added that the new terminal improvements at Paris CDG had led to quicker connections for Irish passengers and that the Business Class lounge had been upgraded and now had more space.

Restrictions on the lower fares have been eased to make them easier for passengers. The new flat-bed seat in KLM Business Class will installed on all long-haul aircraft by the end of 2014. Then the Air France long-haul fleet will follow suit for completion by the end of 2015.
