Air France-KLM and Jet Airways have signed a codeshare agreement that will “significantly improve” the choice of destinations for their passengers in India and Europe respectively. The arrangement is open for bookings for travel from tomorrow, Wednesday 19th June 2013.
The agreement enables Air France to market flights under AF flight numbers to key Indian cities beyond Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai. Customers travelling from Europe to India will now be able to connect with one ticket to three new Indian domestic destinations operated by Jet Airways: to Chennai via Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai as well as to Kolkata and Hyderabad via Mumbai and Bengaluru.
KLM will place its KL code on Jet Airways’ domestic flights to four cities in India beyond Delhi: Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.
Members of Jet Airways’ JetPrivilege and Air France-KLM’s Flying Blue frequent flyer programmes will now have the opportunity to earn status miles/points when travelling on the respective codeshare flights.
Jet Airways operates its domestic flights on Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft as also the ATR 72 aircraft, with quieter, comfortable economy cabins.
Air France- KLM offers 27 weekly long-haul flights between Europe and India.
