Air Canada Resumes Summer Flights

The Canadian Embassy was the venue for a trade reception to mark the resumption of the Air Canada service from Dublin to Toronto. The event was hosted by HE Loyola Hearn, the Canadian Ambassador to Ireland, and Eamon Flanagan from Air Canada.

The flights will resume on 8th June and continue with seven flights per week to 30th September. From 18th June, the B767-300 aircraft will be configured with Executive First and Economy Class on the outbound flights to Toronto on Mondays and Wednesdays and on inbound flights on Sundays and Tuesdays. On all other days, the aircraft will offer Comfort Plus seats in a separate cabin.

Ambassador Hearn outlined the employment opportunities that currently exist in Canada and forecast a surge in travel between our two countries, which he felt would justify a year-round service.

The famous Rocky Mountaineer luxury train journey was well represented by the charming Jennifer Condie, who looks after the Irish market from her office in London Gatwick.

Fairmont Hotels Alexandra Docherty was also on hand to tell agents about the great range of properties worldwide, while Travel Alberta was ably represented by Lynn Naylor, as was British Columbia by Jane Frazer.

The lucky winner of two tickets on Air Canada with four nights in Fairmont Hotels and a fabulous tour on the Rocky Mountaineer was Phyllis Walters from Travel Counsellors.
