Jo Rzymowska, Royal Caribbean International’s Associate Vice President and General Manager, is in Dublin today for business briefings with key agents and to host a dinner and trade awards ceremony this evening. Interviewed by Irish Travel Trade News, she revealed that RCI’s new brand campaign ‘The Sea is Calling – Answer it with Royal Caribbean’ includes a major travel trade exclusive: Blippar, the innovative smartphone technology, allows agents to see the TV advert and other video content ahead of everyone else.
Celebrity Cruises is also offering agents the opportunity to win an in-store ‘Celebrity Picnic’ for their agency.

The new €3.16 million Royal Caribbean International campaign also features interactive games, branded merchandise and lucrative incentives to get trade partners excited about the cruise line. The autumn campaign is launching with an exclusive 24-hour preview of the new TV advert for agents, available now – ahead of the TV launch on Saturday 8th September. This is the first of its kind for the travel trade and uses an innovative new technology that reinforces the cruise line’s history of staying one step ahead of the cruise industry.
In addition to free balcony upgrades from an oceanview stateroom, agents will also have the added option of offering extras to guests such as free or reduced cost regional flights from €149 on selected ex-UK cruise departures.

Meanwhile, Celebrity Cruises has launched its autumn 2012 campaign with tactical price offers, reduced-cost regional flights, stateroom upgrades and onboard credit as part of the ‘2013 Celebrity Cruises Spectacular Sale’.
Running until the end of the month, the campaign also includes great incentives for agents including picnic days in-store inspired by the Solstice-class ships’ Lawn Club and extensive investment in tools and resources for trade partners including a new training module focused on the Southampton-based ship Celebrity Eclipse.
Celebrity Cruises’ new dedicated Celebrity Eclipse training module has been devised to aid agents with a focus on the ship’s 2013 Scandinavia and Russia sailings. As part of the Cruising for Excellence Online training platform, the module is designed to engage and educate agents on the ship and its standout 2013 sailings.
Celebrity Cruises is offering agents the opportunity to win a ‘Celebrity Picnic’ for their agency. Agents simply make a 2013 cruise booking for Celebrity Eclipse and complete the new e-learning training module at Cruisingpower.ie. In early October 2012, 30 winning agents that have registered valid bookings will receive a traditional picnic basket and blanket as an invitation to enjoy a ‘Celebrity Picnic’.
