Aéroports de Paris handled 8.9 million passengers in July 2011, which represents an all-time record with a 4.6% increase compared to July 2010, including 6.1 million at Paris-Charles de Gaulle (+4.0 %) and 2.8 million at Paris-Orly (+6.0 %).

International traffic (excluding Europe) increased by 2.0%. Traffic on both African and Middle-Eastern routes fell by 5.1% affected by geo-political unrest in those regions. All other destinations improved: Asia/Pacific +12.0%; South America +11.2%; French Overseas Departments and Territories +5.3%; and North America +5.0%.

European traffic (excluding France) was up 7.5%, driven by Schengen countries (+8.5%). Britain and Ireland decreased by 3.0%.

Traffic within France increased by 4.2%. The number of connecting passengers rose by 5.3%. The connecting passenger rate was up 20.5% against 20.2% in July 2010.

From January 2011 to July 2011, passenger traffic increased by 6.9% year-on-year. The number of connecting passengers grew by 6.3%. The connecting rate came in at 22.8% against 22.9% over the first seven months of 2010.
