Aer Lingus has announced additional frequency on its direct route from Dublin to Cleveland, starting from April 2025.
The increase in capacity is in response to significant demand on both sides of the Atlantic for more services since the route commenced in May 2023.
The direct transatlantic flight from Dublin Airport to Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport will increase from four to five roundtrips per week on 17 April 2025. Services will then increase again to six roundtrips per week from 6 May 2025 during the peak summer season and will run until 25 October 2025.
The route is supported by JobsOhio, along with partners Team NEO, Greater Cleveland Partnership, Destination Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, and the City of Cleveland, which estimate the service to have had $28 million in economic impact to the Cleveland market over the past 18 months.
The route also supports a new market of tourism for Ireland as the only direct European service from Cleveland.
Commenting on the increased schedule capacity, Reid Moody, Chief Strategy and Planning Officer, Aer Lingus, said: “There has been huge demand for travel since we opened our direct connection from Dublin to Cleveland last year and we are delighted to be able to respond by offering more services from April 2025.
