Aer Lingus Teams Up with Irish Players Ahead of Women’s Six Nations Kick-Off

Aer Lingus has announced sponsorship partnerships with Ireland rugby players Dorothy Wall, who plays for Munster; Linda Djougang of Leinster and the Gloucester-Hartpury duo of Neve Jones and Sam Monaghan.

The move comes days before the start of the Women’s Six Nations Championship, with Ireland starting their campaign away to France, in Le Mans, on Saturday.

The team flies out to France today for the match. Aer Lingus has been a partner – and the official airline – of the IRFU since 2015.

Speaking on the announcement, Susanne Carberry, Aer Lingus Chief Customer Officer said: “We’re immensely proud to partner with Dorothy, Linda, Sam and Neve and expand our support for the Irish Women’s Rugby team ahead of the exciting Guinness Women’s Six Nations tournament. We hope to bring home advantage to all their games and are very lucky to have these brilliant ambassadors representing Aer Lingus”.

Michael Collopy, Chairperson of the IRFU Commercial and Marketing Committee commented:As the governing body for rugby in Ireland, the IRFU is thrilled to see our athletes recognised as ambassadors for Aer Lingus. This partnership not only highlights the incredible talent and dedication of these athletes but also underscores the growing importance of women’s rugby on the global stage. We commend Aer Lingus for their commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion within the sport and look forward to seeing the positive impact of this collaboration as our ambassadors inspire and empower others around the world.’’
