The operator of Aer Lingus Regional – Emerald Airlines – halved its losses and doubled its revenues last year, latest accounts for the company show.
Emerald – which was established in 2022 and took over the Aer Lingus Regional contract in that year – posted a pre-tax loss of just over €11.5m last year. That was down from a loss of €21.5m the previous year. Revenues, meanwhile more than doubled to €166.7m.
Aer Lingus Regional enjoyed its biggest ever summer schedule last year.
The company said it is in an “excellent position” to meet current financial targets.
