Aer Lingus Regional boosts capacity between Belfast City Airport and Southampton

Aer Lingus Regional, exclusively operated by Emerald Airlines and the largest operator at Belfast City Airport, has announced a significant expansion of its Belfast City-Southampton schedule for Summer 2026. The expansion will add more than 17,000 seats, meeting the growing demand for cruise-linked travel from one of the UK’s busiest cruise ports.

Key enhancements include:

  • Aer Lingus Regional has added 8 additional weekly flights between Belfast City Airport and Southampton, commencing April 2026
  • New Saturday mid‑morning departure (10:55) from Belfast City Airport along with an early‑afternoon departure (13:05) from Southampton Airport, conveniently timed to connect with cruise boarding and disembarking times
  • Increased frequency throughout the week, offering greater flexibility for both leisure and business travellers
