Aer Lingus Passengers Up 8.2 Per Cent in March

Aer Lingus traffic statistics for March 2012 show that total system flown passenger numbers, comprising Aer Lingus Mainline and Aer Lingus Regional, increased by 8.2%.

Mainline passengers were 736,000, an increase of 6.4% compared to March 2011. Short-haul passengers were 663,000, an increase of 5.4%, while long-haul passengers were 73,000, an increase of 15.9%. The load factor increased 5.0 points to 75.8%. Short-haul load factor was 72.6%, an increase of 3.4 points, with capacity increasing by 1.1%. Long-haul load factor was 82.0%, an increase of 8.2 points, with capacity increasing by 4.0%.

Regional passenger numbers were 73,000, an increase of 30.4%.
