Aer Lingus has announced its support for Irish talent ahead of this year’s Oscars taking place in Los Angeles, next Sunday, March 10.
Following on from last year’s Oscar’s flight departure reception at Dublin Airport, Aer Lingus is continuing to support and look after the best of Irish film talent ahead of this year’s awards.
As anticipation mounts for the 96th Academy Awards, Aer Lingus is carrying some of Ireland’s finest talent on its direct Los Angeles flight, EI 069, across the Atlantic to showcase their artistry and represent Ireland on the illustrious Oscars red carpet.
Among those traveling is cinematographer Robbie Ryan nominated for his exceptional work on Poor Things, starring Emma Stone.
Susanne Carberry Chief Customer Officer with Aer Lingus said: “Aer Lingus is honoured to play a part in this cinematic journey and extend our hospitality and support to our own Irish talent as they and their families come together to celebrate this significant occasion for the Irish film industry. At Aer Lingus, we make every journey count, and this week, our Oscar nominees are embarking on one of their most important journeys as they travel to LA to represent Ireland at the most iconic movie awards in the world. Our Aer Lingus crews will go above and beyond to make it a memorable experience, and we wish Robbie, and all Irish nominees the very best of luck. We hope to have an extra seat to carry the golden statues on the flight home to Dublin from LA!”
Aer Lingus offers five weekly flights from Dublin direct to Los Angeles, with flights increasing to daily for the summer, with in-flight entertainment that includes the Oscar nominated movies Poor Things and Oppenheimer.
This year, the airline will operate 18 routes from Ireland to North America, including the return of Minneapolis St Paul and a new direct flight to Denver. Aer Lingus has over 2.25 million transatlantic seats on sale, making it the airline’s largest ever North American summer schedule to date.
