Aer Lingus Flies Cillian Murphy to Oscars in LA


Aer Lingus has continued its support for Ireland’s film talent ahead of this year’s Oscars, taking place in Los Angeles, on Sunday.

Following on from last year’s Oscars’ flight departure reception at Dublin Airport, Aer Lingus continues to support and look after the best of Irish film talent ahead of this year’s awards. 

Irish Best Actor nominee, Cillian Murphy, travelled with Aer Lingus on flight EI 069 to Los Angeles ahead of the prestigious event, as did the members of the crew and production from the critically acclaimed film Poor Things, which has been nominated for a remarkable 11 Academy Awards. 

Among those who travelled are renowned cinematographer Robbie Ryan and other Element Pictures talent who are nominated for their exceptional work on ‘Poor Things’, starring Emma Stone.

We hope to have extra seats to carry the golden statues on the flight home to Dublin from LA!” 

Aer Lingus offers daily flights from Dublin direct to Los Angeles, with flights increasing to daily for the summer. This year, the airline will operate 18 routes from Ireland to North America, including a new direct flight to Denver for the first time. Aer Lingus has over 2.25 million transatlantic seats on sale, making it the airline’s largest ever North American summer schedule to date.
