Aer Lingus and Ryanair have both made a list of the Top 10 global airlines to travel with – in terms of festive punctuality – this December.

The study, by eSIM travel company Airalo, analysed flight punctuality, delays and cancellation rates – mainly in and out of UK airports – over the last festive season to gauge what the best option is for passengers looking to fly out for holidays or home for Christmas.

Aer Lingus was ranked 10th in the list. It had, slightly, the longest average delay times – at 31 minutes – but the second fewest number of cancelled flights, numbering just 5.

Ryanair was ranked 6th most punctual flier with 25 cancellations, but one of the lowest percentage of flights cancelled. BA Euroflyer was the most punctual on the list, with zero cancellations and an average flight delay time of 23 minutes.
