Aer Lingus has advised that its passengers should be largely unaffected by tomorrow’s 24-hour public sector strike in the UK, but warns that those connecting on to Aer Lingus services at a UK airport may be affected.
A statement on the Aer Lingus website says: “A UK-wide public sector strike is planned to take place on Wednesday 30th November from midnight to midnight. This is expected to affect the operations of the UK Border Agency. While congestion is anticipated at UK international airports Aer Lingus customers should be largely unaffected as flights between the UK and Ireland travel within the Common Travel Area.
“Customers who have bookings with other airlines that involve transferring on to Aer Lingus services at a UK airport on 30th November may be affected. These customers should contact the airline or travel agent, with which they made their booking, to review their options.
“Aer Lingus will update customers with any further developments via email, SMS messaging and this website.”
