Aer Lingus Adds Extra Seats to Sun this Autumn

While traditionally summer is the season for soaking up the sun, autumn is becoming an increasingly popular time for Irish holidaymakers to jet off for a late holiday. To meet the demand, Aer Lingus has announced an additional 13,000 seats to popular hot spots during September and October.

Favourites such as Lanzarote, Las Palmas, Tenerife and Malaga will all enjoy thousands of extra seats from Dublin as a result of higher frequency services throughout the two months.

Lanzarote will become a daily service with an additional two flights per week while Las Palmas will increase by one flight per week, becoming a five times weekly service during September and October. Tenerife will increase in frequency from five to six weekly flights, while Malaga, one of the most popular sun spots, will increase from 17 to 19 services per week from Dublin.

Declan Kearney, Director of Communications, said: “Summer is always a very busy time in the world of travel as we long for the guarantee of sunshine. However at Aer Lingus we have noticed that the late summer/autumn months are certainly picking up pace as many Irish holiday makers either opt for a late holiday or a second burst of sunshine to see them through the Irish winter. We are delighted to meet the greater demand by offering additional capacity on our most popular sun routes.”

One-way fares including taxes and charges start from:

Dublin to Lanzarote: €94.99

Dublin to Las Palmas: €94.99

Dublin to Tenerife: €94.99
