Aer Arann is changing its name to Stobart Air – but the aircraft will continue to fly in the Aer Lingus Regional branding. The airline is partially owned by the international transport and logistics Stobart Group.
Sean Brogan, Interim Chief Executive, said: “Stobart Air will explore new opportunities and add to our franchise network, particularly in the UK and mainland Europe.”
Aer Arann currently operates 550 flights a week across 27 routes connecting Ireland, Britain and France – and aims to double passenger numbers within five years, using London Southend Airport (also owned by the Stobart Group) as a hub.
