Dublin Airport is hosting a workshop with the Analytics Institute to explore how insights and data can more effectively be used to improve all aspects of the passenger journey through the airport. The event will highlight the unique and diverse set of data that the airport environment generates and how Dublin Airport is using that for day-to-day airport operations planning.
In addition, five interactive breakout sessions will examine the key operational areas of airport planning, check-in and security, retail, tracking aircraft movements and how passengers book travel services such as car parking and lounges.
Vincent Harrison, Managing Director, said that the event will be used to share how data science is used daily in the planning decision-making process at the airport. “Increased awareness of passenger movements and behaviours will help us improve operational performance and planning, offer better, more targeted retail, food and beverage offerings and save passengers time as they pass through the busiest areas of the airport.
“We are delighted to work with the Analytics Institute to host this event, which will bring fresh eyes and thinking to how we can better use and understand the vast amounts of data with which we work.”
