“Great value bucket-and-spade holidays is our main offering,” said Kelly Maher, Head of Marketing for Teletext Holidays when she came to Dublin with Co Tyrone-born Darren McCloskey, Social Media Manager, to launch the UK-based tour operator’s new Irish programme and website.
“Our Irish website, www.teletextholidays.ie, which is fully online bookable, was launched in February 2017 and the initial teething problems have been resolved,” added Kelly. “We are really excited about introducing the Teletext brand to the Irish market. Our goal is to fulfill Irish holidaymakers’ dreams with a huge choice of great value holiday options to suit every budget. Our hope is that people will tap into our 25 years of experience and let us take the stress out of doing the search so they can relax and enjoy their well-earned holiday experience.”
Teletext Holidays, part of the London-based Truly Travel Ltd group that includes Alpharooms, Betabeds and Truly Travel, offers beach holidays, city breaks, all-inclusive options, and last-minute deals from Irish airports to many European destinations. There are also selected long-haul destinations in Barbados, Cuba, Domincan Republic, Dubai, India (Goa), Jamaica, Maldives, Mauritius, Mexico, Thailand, and the USA (Orlando).
The brand was the very first digital travel agent back in the 1990s and has carried 20 million customers over the past 25 years, during which it moved from TV screens to a fully integrated online platform. The company carried over 380,000 holidaymakers in 2016.
