Vietnam Puts Sustainability and Net Zero at Heart of Tourism Policy

Vietnam has put sustainability at the core of its tourism ambitions, saying it wants to have a net zero emissions domestic tourism product by 2050.

The forum heard from Vietnam tourism minister, Nguyen Van Hung, who said green tourism is a crucial strategy  for improving the tourism sector, and Vietnam’s, global competitiveness and will be critical in helping the country reach its overall net zero targets.

A number of Vietnam’s tourist destinations have already embraced environmental protection measures and sustainable tourism practices; while Ho Chi Minh City, itself, is drawing up new policy to aid its green transformation.
