SAF Provider Neste Sees 17% Surge in Share Price After Financials Beat Forecasts and Company Says Future is Green

Finnish oil and energy company Neste saw a 17% jump in its share price this week, after it posted a strong set of financial results underpinned by its growing transition to a leading provider of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).

SAF is currently seen as being the main ingredient for a realistic move towards cleaner fuel usage in the airline business and there is a clamour for increased production, especially amongst European carriers.

Neste’s share price surged 17%, on Thursday, after the company said it expects higher sales volumes, going forward, from renewable energy products.

The company comfortably beat net profit and earnings forecasts – with net profit at €19m, for the second quarter, and EBITDA reaching €341m.
