Japan’s ANA Holdings Invests in Corporate Sustainability and ESG Management Start-Up

Japanese airline group ANA Holdings (All Nippon Airways) has – through its corporate venture capital fund ANA Future Frontier Fund LP – invested in Cierpa, a start-up focused on corporate sustainability and environmental, social and governance (ESG) management.

Cierpa combines specialised expertise with technology-driven services beyond its “SmartESG” sustainability data platform, which standardises disclosure processes and consolidates sustainability information with advanced analytics. Launched in November 2022, the platform supports sustainability data management for companies and key stakeholders with a combined market capitalization of more than 200 trillion yen.

ANA is investing in Cierpa as part of its approach to leverage non-financial disclosures to strengthen corporate value.

ANA said it recognises the growing prevalence of these services and the startup’s strong commitment to its vision. Through the partnership, ANA plans to advance ANA Group’s ESG management and continue contributing to a more sustainable future while enhancing business operations.

As both a shareholder and user, ANA values its partnership with Cierpa in creating a new framework for sustainable, strategic business advancement in the ESG era.
