IAG ‘On Track’ to Meet SAF Usage Requirements

Airline group IAG – which owns Aer Lingus, British Airways, Vueling, Iberia and LEVEL – has said it is “on track” to meet new EU sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) usage requirements for this year.

The EU mandate is for every airline to have SAF comprising at least 2% of their total fuel. In its annual results round-up, IAG said 1.9% of is fuel was SAF last year and that it is “on track” for the required 2% mandate for 2025.
