The Dingle Peninsula has been voted overall winner of the Ireland’s Greenest Places 2025 competition, run jointly by The Irish Times and Electric Ireland.
Skerries, in north County Dublin, was named Ireland’s Greenest Town in the awards.
More than 120 public nominations were received by the judges when voting opened in May and the panel of former Green Party leader Eamon Ryan, Electric Ireland’s Lisa Browne and Irish Times journalists Kevin O’Sullivan, Mary Minihan and Rosita Boland decided upon the winners.
