Royal Caribbean Group has further advanced its sustainability commitment by announcing that the new Celebrity Xcel ship – the latest edition of Celebrity Cruises’ Edge Series of vessels – will be the first cruise ship with tri-fuel capability engines.
This, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean said, represents “an important stepping stone on the company’s journey to Destination Net Zero [Royal Caribbean’s vision for net zero emissions across its brands and fleets by 2050].”
