Belfast Entertainment Venues Ban Single-Use Plastic Product Usage

Entertainment venues around Belfast have joined a new scheme to eradicate single use plastic amongst public guests, with the aim of removing around 2 million plastic cups and 40 tons of plastic waste from Belfast’s nightlife economy per year.

The scheme will see Waterfront Hall, Ulster Hall, SSE Arena, Oh Yeah Centre, Black Box, Voodoo, and The MAC introduce reusable cups. The scheme will run, initially, as a 12-month pilot project.
