Plane-making giant Airbus has teamed up with energy company OMV and the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) to jointly develop a global sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) ‘ecosystem’.
The collaboration will look to tackle availability concerns, certification red tape and high production costs. The three companies said they want to build confidence within the aviation community and encourage companies to invest in new technologies and feedstocks.
