General Manager Cathy Burke, said: “There is no doubt it has been a tough year for the industry and the country as a whole, but we are firm believers in the power of positive thinking and know events such as our annual conference are truly inspirational and motivating for our agents in Ireland.

“Next year will be no exception and we will be making a host of new announcements and initiatives to help our Travel Counsellors keep in touch with their customers and grow their businesses. It is important that we continue to be innovative when it comes to customer service, which is at the heart of the business and is the reason that we continue to buck the economic trend.”

As the most important event on the company calendar in Ireland, the conference will enable the company’s Travel Counsellors, who all run their travel businesses from home, the chance to come together and celebrate the company’s success.

Suppliers in attendance will be exhibiting at the special Pow Wow session, giving agents a chance to meet directly with representatives from airlines, tour operators, tourist boards and other suppliers to learn more about their products and destinations. Agents are also rewarded for their hard work at the annual awards ceremony and gala dinner on Friday evening.

Cathy Burke added: “We have changed the format slightly by holding the Conference from Thursday evening until midday on Saturday and we feel this will appeal to our sponsors and TCs alike. Our sales in Ireland are up this year and it proves that our model of super service, impartial advice and building friendships has resulted in Travel Counsellors outperforming the market.”
