The CapeFlyer Returns!

No, not Batman – the rail service from Boston to Cape Cod is returning this summer for the first time in almost 25 years!

The partnership between the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority, MassDOT and the MBTA will start on Memorial Day weekend. The CapeFlyer is an extension of the MBTA trains beyond Middleboro, continuing to Buzzards Bay for its first of two stops and terminating in downtown Hyannis. From there, visitors will have easy access to the local bus network, the Nantucket & Martha’s Vineyard ferries, and local beaches.

The service will run on weekends between Memorial Day and Labour Day, and the trip time will be approximately two hours.
