Football World Cup 12th June – 13th July: Enjoy all the action from Brazil on big screens throughout the city. Tourists and ex-pats alike will come together at sports bars such as Fibber Magee’s, Waxy O’Conners and McGettigans. There will even be a fully air-conditioned ‘stadium’ built at the popular Barasti beach bar.

Golf (www.dubaigolf.com): Dubai is home to some of the finest golf courses in the world. During the summer months, friends can enjoy cooler tee-off times either early morning or late at night. The Emirates Golf Club’s Faldo Course is the only course in the Middle East to offer full floodlighting.
