Stella Cleary-Ackland of Cellet Travel Services and JP Thompson of the Sunday World were the two lucky winners at last night’s Dubai event in Dublin hosted by Dubai Tourism, Kerzner International and Etihad Airways.
Stella won two tickets from Etihad Airways to next Sunday’s GAA Hurling All Ireland Senior Championship replay final between Galway and Kilkenny, while JP won the night’s big prize of a trip to Dubai via Abu Dhabi sponsored by Etihad Airways, Dubai Tourism and Kerzner International.
Welcoming the guests, Ian Scott, Director UK and Ireland for Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing, said: “Dubai has been given a higher profile in Ireland – and it is working. Ireland is massively outperforming the overall market growth and we expect to have welcomed between 35-40,000 visitors from Ireland by the year-end. Some 17% of the Irish growth is going into 3-star or 4-star self-catering accommodation.”
