Singapore Airlines has decided to close its Dublin office in Dawson Street and the staff have been informed. It is understood that bookings have declined since the arrival of direct eastbound flights from Dublin to Istanbul, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and beyond.
A spokesperson for the airline’s London office was unavailable for comment.
There are now more than 500,000 seats per year from Dublin, with Etihad Airways and Emirates, direct to the UAE.
