Irishman Derek McKnight has been appointed Executive Chef for both Allure of the Seas and Oasis of the Seas. In his new role he will oversee 350 chefs and 1,500 food and beverage staff on-board the Royal Caribbean International cruise ships. He briefed the media about his new role at a lunch in Rolly’s Bistro in Dublin.
He will be based on Allure of the Seas.
He previously was with Cunard for seven years, and lives in Cork with his wife and three children.
