Radisson Hotels Doubles Down on Sustainability Pledge

The Radisson Hotel Group has further enhanced its green and sustainability credentials by signing up to be a member of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) – the independent, non-profit organisation which sets ‘green’ standards for tourism and hospitality businesses.

Radisson announced, in September, that it is committed to becoming a net-zero emissions company by 2050; adding that it has already made energy efficiency gains of 30% over the past decade and will reduce its absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 46% by 2030 and its Scope 3 emissions from fuel and energy by 28% over the same period.

“At Radisson Hotel Group, we believe the best way to achieve concrete results and move the industry on the path to Net Zero by 2050 is to work alongside global partners and industry bodies, such as the Global Sustainable Tourism Council. Sustainability is not competitive but rather collaborative, together we can aim so help solving global issues we all face. We look forward to working with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council and its partners to align our strong criteria to reach Net Zero emissions latest by 2050,” said Inge Huijbrechts, Radisson’s global senior vice president for sustainability, security and corporate communication.
