US hotel owner Preferred Hotels & Resorts has appointed Rachel Louis as its new regional director for the UK and Ireland.
She will report directly to Brenda Collin – the group’s executive vice president for Europe.
“We are thrilled to welcome Rachel as the newest member of our team in the UK and Ireland. Her expertise in the independent hotel space is long-established and will help us to develop our regional presence while strengthening and expanding partnerships with existing member hotels,” Ms Collin said.
Ms Louis will be in charge of the retention and expansion of the Preferred brand’s UK and Ireland portfolio, which consists of 31 member hotels, resorts, and residences.
Ms Louis has operated her own commercial hotel consultancy in London for the past 9 years, before which she held senior commercial and consultancy roles with the likes of the Dorchester Hotel and InterContinental Hotel in London, the Maybourne Hotel Group, the Zetter Group and the Bulgari Hotel London.
