New-Look Website and eBulletins for Irish Travel Trade News

Irish Travel Trade News has introduced new reader- and advertiser-friendly formats for the ITTN.ie website and eBulletins. They feature more news stories and larger images, are more responsive for mobile devices, and offer larger and more standout positions for advertisers.

ITTN, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, has invested in these product improvements to maintain its position as the leading, most respected and most read travel trade media in Ireland.

For Readers
Our new website home page presents more news stories with larger, higher quality images in a format that is simpler and less busy.

The new design has also concentrated on enhancing the user experience by being more mobile device and laptop/desktop friendly, or what’s known as ‘responsive’. The website now uses up all available space on the user’s Internet browser and we are concentrating on delivering more images rather than text.

Similarly, the ITTN eBulletins has been redesigned to be much simpler and less busy. It will resize itself depending on the email client – so will look just as good on your smartphone as on your laptop or desktop.

There is a more consistent layout, making the latest news easier to read, and the email subject line now announces the top news story of the day.

For Advertisers
There were some heavy (but friendly!) meetings between ITTN’s marketing and editorial staff during the redesign of the website and eBulletins. As a result of these meetings it was agreed that there were too many ads condensed into small spaces, thus creating too much competition between advertisers for the reader’s attention.

So we decided to simplify things and with only four advertisement positions on the website, some of which are rotating ad positions, we now have a format in which advertisers can really stand out and be noticed. The more spacious banners give our partners the opportunity to be even more creative and eye-catching with their advertising.

Similarly, in the new eBulletins format there are now three, larger advertisement positions, one of which is a repeating banner, and all of which are full-width.

In addition, the mobile/tablet-friendly format means that your target audience is always viewing your advertising messages at their best, even when they are out and about.
